Role description: The Senior Digital Technologies Specialist supports the GEC by developing and improving digital, automation, computational design, and AI-enabled solutions for Design & Engineering and Architecture teams. The role helps improve project delivery through practical, scalable tools, workflow optimization, and technology adoption. Role accountabilities: · Develop and maintain digital tools, scripts, add-ins, desktop apps, web apps, and workflow automations. · Support engineering and architecture teams by translating workflow needs into practical digital solutions. · Automate repetitive design, modeling, checking, documentation, and reporting tasks. · Integrate BIM, CAD, and engineering software using APIs, SDKs, and other automation approaches. · Test, deploy, document, troubleshoot, and improve tools throughout their lifecycle. · Contribute to digital strategy, standards, computational design, generative design, and AI adoption initiatives. Qualifications & Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, IT, or a related field. · 5+ years of experience developing digital tools, automation solutions, or software applications. · Proficiency in Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar programming languages. · Experience with APIs, SDKs, software integrations, and workflow automations. · Understanding of engineering, architecture, BIM, CAD, and project delivery workflows. · Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. · Experience with computational or generative design workflows. · Familiarity with AI-enabled solutions and responsible AI use cases. · Experience with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Power BI, or cloud platforms. · Knowledge of version control, testing, documentation, and release management.
