Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in New York.

This position is responsible for leading the digital product strategy, development, and lifecycle management of First Citizens Bank's Commercial Digital Banking platforms and experiences across online and mobile channels. The role provides strategic leadership for a portfolio of commercial digital solutions while driving innovation, modernization, and client-centric experiences that support the evolving needs of business and commercial clients. This role drives innovation, aligns product development with business objectives, and oversees a team of product managers to deliver high-impact digital solutions that enhance customer experience and drive business growth. This position shapes the long-term vision for digital products, influences C-suite decisions, and ensures that the product organization delivers significant business value and competitive advantage through innovative commercial digital solutions.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 10 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 14 years' experience in Digital product management, strategic planning, digital transformation
Preferred Education:Master's Degree / MBA
Preferred Area of Study:Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
Preferred Area of Experience:Multi-industry experience, proven track record of digital innovation

  • Enterprise Digital Commercial Strategy - Define and drive the long-term digital product vision and strategy for key domains across a portfolio of commercial digital solutions across First Citizens. Lead transformative digital initiatives that significantly impact business operations and growth. Collaborate with C-suite executives to align digital product strategy with corporate objectives.
  • Innovation and Emerging Technologies - Spearhead research and adoption of cutting-edge technologies in digital product development. Drive the creation of new digital business models and revenue streams. Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation across the product organization.
  • Organizational Leadership - Oversee multiple commercial digital product teams across the organization. Develop and implement strategies to build a world-class digital product organization. Mentor and develop the next generation of product leaders
  • Strategic Partnerships and Influence - Influence senior executives and align stakeholders around strategic priorities. Build and maintain relationships with key partners across Business, Core Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Security, and Design teams. Lead complex, cross-enterprise initiatives and drive decision making across multiple stakeholder groups. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key technology vendors and industry leaders. Represent the organization as a thought leader in digital product management. Influence industry standards and best practices in digital product development
  • Performance and Risk Management - Establish and monitor enterprise-wide metrics for digital product success. Oversee risk management strategies for digital products, including security and compliance. Drive continuous improvement in product development processes and methodologies

The base pay for this position is generally between $210,000 and $290,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
