Rezolute is a late-stage rare disease biopharmaceutical company focused on developing transformative therapies for patients living with severe metabolic and endocrine disorders. Our lead investigational therapy, RZ358 (ersodetug), is a fully human monoclonal antibody in late-stage clinical development for the treatment of congenital and acquired forms of hyperinsulinism (HI). Position Overview:
The Senior Director / Executive Director, HCP Marketing, will support strategy development and lead tactical execution focused on a new product launch in congenital hyperinsulinism (cHI). This role will report to the Vice-President, Commercial Strategy, and requires expertise in personal promotions and thought leader engagement, as well as experience in a rare disease launch. This role will also be responsible for supporting HCP market research in collaboration with the Commercial Data & Analytics team, to drive insights that shape marketing strategy and support the commercial success of Rezolute’s rare disease product. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Sales, Market Access, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead HCP marketing strategy development and tactical execution to drive product awareness and consideration in a rare disease product launch.
- Support the disease state education (DSE) campaign in raising awareness of a novel mechanism of disease among target pediatric endocrinologists and supporting HCPs.
- Support early brand development including brand identity, product positioning, value proposition, core claims and HCP messaging.
- Lead HCP content development across DSE and brand materials – including core visual aid (CVA), HCP presentations, Speaker Bureau, testimonial videos, case studies, etc. – ensuring alignment with all legal, regulatory and compliance guidelines (e.g., PRC submissions and approvals).
- Partner closely with Sales and Commercial Training teams to develop and implement tools and materials that support field sales initiatives, ensuring materials meet sales needs for HCP engagement.
- Build and deploy the Speaker Bureau including business rules, content development, derivative materials and Speaker Training.
- Build DSE and promotional websites including content development and approvals, navigation and digital KPIs.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Commercial Data & Analytics, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with Commercial objectives and brand strategy.
- Define HCP research objectives, priorities, and develop stimuli in collaboration with the Commercial Data & Analytics team in market research, to gain insights into the congenital hyperinsulinism market, pediatric endocrinologist behaviors, treatment trends and competitive landscape, leveraging insights in strategic marketing initiatives.
- Build relationships with key opinion leaders including pediatric endocrinologists, nurses, and professional organizations, to enhance engagement efforts.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for HCP engagement and market traction, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Coordinate with the Promotional Review Committee (PRC), ensuring timely review and approval of HCP promotional and educational materials within legal, regulatory and compliance standards.
- Develop executive presentations for key internal stakeholders, translating insights into strategic marketing recommendations.
- Oversee relationships with agency partners, support Marketing strategy and execute priority tactics and ensure timely delivery in a launch setting. Responsibilities include annual budget planning, monthly reconciliation and reallocating resources as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PhD) is a plus.
- 15+ years of experience in HCP marketing, or a related healthcare field, with at least 3 years in rare disease.
- Strong U.S. product launch experience, with rare disease launch experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, startup environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong understanding of regulatory constraints in healthcare marketing, including the Promotional Review Committee (PRC) approval process.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into actionable marketing strategy.
- Ability to travel up to 25-30% of the time.
- Experience in marketing therapeutics with a strong scientific / clinical acumen.
- Previous experience building and managing relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and partnering with advisors.
- Strong executive presence.
