(ACI) is seeking a Senior Director, Field Ops Training to lead a 30-person field training organization supporting nearly 400 dental practices nationwide. This leader will modernize how ACI develops and delivers training — moving from legacy, largely in-person and static content toward a digital-first, AI-enabled model that can rapidly produce and deploy learning content at scale. The role owns training strategy and execution for the field organization, special projects, and enterprise initiatives, and will partner with enterprise digital learning and development team to stand up the digital learning infrastructure ACI currently lacks. This is a highly visible, build-oriented mandate reporting directly to the COO. What You'll Own Set the strategic direction for training across ACI's four operating divisions and specialty portfolio, aligning learning priorities with the company's sales, patient experience, and net income goals. Lead and develop a 30-person team of field trainers and facilitators, including performance management, capacity planning, and career development; add augmented training staff for transformation initiatives . Collaborate with the People team to modernize ACI's training model — shifting from primarily in-person/field-delivered training toward blended digital, on-demand, and AI-assisted content development and delivery. Collaborate with the People Team selection and implementation of learning management system (LMS) or digital training platform; ACI's current HR platform (Dayforce) does not meet the organization's training needs today. Leverage AI tools to accelerate instructional design and content production for run the business programming, enabling faster turnaround on new programs, compliance updates, and operational rollouts. Partner with People Team to design a scalable content framework that supports rapid, consistent deployment of training across a distributed network of nearly 400 practices. Partner with Operations, Clinical, HR, and divisional leaders to translate special projects and strategic initiatives into training curricula, roll-out and sustainment plans. Establish measurement frameworks to track training effectiveness, adoption, and business impact (e.g., time-to-competency, field engagement, initiative rollout speed). Manage the training organization's budget and vendor relationships, including LMS/content-platform vendors. Required Qualifications 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Organizational Development, including at least 3 years leading multi-person teams (15+ preferred). Demonstrated success modernizing a training function — building or migrating to digital/blended learning models from a legacy, in-person-heavy approach. Hands-on experience selecting, implementing, or administering a learning management system (LMS) or digital training platform. Practical experience using AI tools (e.g., generative AI for content creation, authoring tools with AI features) to accelerate instructional design and content development. Experience designing training programs for a large, distributed, or multi-site field organization. Strong program and project management skills, with the ability to run multiple concurrent initiatives against firm deadlines. Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills; comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels. Preferred Qualifications Experience in dental, healthcare services, or another multi-site/franchise-style operating environment (DSO experience a strong plus). Background in instructional design methodology (e.g., ADDIE, adult learning theory) and modern content formats (microlearning, video-based, mobile-first). Experience training on clinical, operational, or compliance-driven content in a regulated industry. Familiarity with evaluating and implementing LMS platforms in an environment without pre-existing digital training infrastructure. What Success Looks Like in Year One A digital LMS/training platform is selected and implemented (or well underway), decoupled from the HR/Dayforce system. A modern content development pipeline is in place, using AI-assisted tools to cut content production time significantly. The 30-person training team is aligned to a clear operating model, with defined roles supporting field training, special projects, and initiative rollouts. At least one major field-wide initiative has been trained, deployed and sustained using the new digital approach, with measurable adoption and effectiveness data.
