As a Sr. Director, Financial Planning and Analysis, your work at Tegria will focus on serving as a senior strategic finance leader and trusted business partner and advisor to executive and senior operational leadership, providing enterprise-level financial insight, guidance, and decision support across multiple business segments. You set direction for key financial planning activities—including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range strategic planning, and capital allocation—ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and financial objectives. You build lasting relationships across the business, lead through influence, and develop a high-performing team that delivers shared outcomes.
You oversee and elevate the development and delivery of sophisticated financial and operational analyses, translating complex and sometimes ambiguous data into clear, actionable insights that influence enterprise priorities and investment decisions. With deep expertise in business drivers and professional services economics, you assess trends, risks, and opportunities at both the segment and portfolio level to guide strategic, operational, and financial outcomes.
THE ROLE YOU PLAY
An effective Sr. Director, Financial Planning and Analysis will help the organization on a whole achieve success through:

- Provide senior-level leadership for financial planning and forecasting across multiple business units or portfolios, partnering closely with Executive Operations, Accounting, and Corporate Finance to deliver integrated monthly and quarterly forecasts, the annual budget, long-range strategic plans, and capital planning oversight.
- Serve as a strategic business partner and senior financial advisor to executive and senior operational leaders, building trusted relationships and developing a comprehensive understanding of service lines, delivery models, utilization dynamics, pricing strategies, and margin drivers to influence strategic and operational decisions.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships across the executive team and business leaders, anticipating their needs, shaping the agenda, and aligning finance priorities with business goals.
- Oversee and synthesize variance analysis against forecast, budget, and prior year results across business segments, identifying systemic performance drivers, enterprise risks, and strategic opportunities, and advising leaders on corrective actions or strategic pivots.
- Provide executive oversight of general ledger and financial result analysis, ensuring consistency between operational performance and financial outcomes, and partnering with Accounting leadership on complex accruals, adjustments, reclassifications, and policy interpretation.
- Lead and deliver executive-level financial reviews, including monthly and quarterly business reviews, clearly communicating financial performance, emerging trends, forward-looking risks, and implications for enterprise strategy.
- Direct analysis of financial and operational performance trends across historical, current, and forward-looking horizons, leveraging consulting-specific metrics such as utilization, billable rates, backlog, project margins, contribution margin, and EBITDA at both segment and portfolio levels.
- Set standards and oversee the development of management reporting and executive deliverables, including performance scorecards, dashboards, operating reviews, and initiative tracking to support executive governance and decision-making.
- Sponsor and review complex financial analyses related to pricing strategy, project and portfolio profitability, scenario and sensitivity modeling, investment returns, capacity and workforce planning, and business segment performance.
- Act as a thought partner to senior operational leadership on portfolio economics, including staffing strategy, utilization optimization, margin improvement initiatives, and identification of systemic delivery risks or underperforming engagements.
- Provide strategic oversight of FP&A systems, tools, and data governance, ensuring integrity of assumptions, mappings, and methodologies across planning, forecasting, and reporting platforms.
- Act as a change leader by driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance forecasting accuracy, planning discipline, analytical rigor, reporting efficiency, and enterprise-wide financial transparency.
- Operate with broad autonomy and strategic judgment, balancing competing enterprise priorities, managing complex interdependencies, and guiding decision-making in highly ambiguous or evolving business conditions.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing FP&A team, providing coaching and quality oversight to managers and senior analysts, ensuring consistent application of standards, development of talent, and high-quality analytical outputs.
- Contribute to enterprise FP&A leadership objectives, cross-segment initiatives, strategic planning efforts, and executive requests, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Performs other generally related duties as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We expect:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- CPA, CFA, or CMA preferred.
- Has extensive progressive experience, including:
- Leadership of budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning in complex, project-based or professional services environments.
- Advanced business intelligence, analytics, and executive reporting.
- Senior-level experience in consulting, professional services, healthcare, or technology environments preferred.
- Experience leading or influencing teams and cross-functional stakeholders at a senior level.
- Has extensive, enterprise-level knowledge of FP&A including:
- Integrated financial planning, rolling forecasts, long-range strategic planning, and advanced scenario modeling
- Portfolio-level variance analysis, performance management, and decision support
- Professional services and consulting economics, including utilization, pricing, margins, backlog, and EBITDA
- Project, engagement, and portfolio profitability analysis and workforce planning
- Advanced financial modeling techniques and forecasting methodologies
- Executive KPI frameworks, performance scorecards, and financial storytelling
- Strategic business partnering, executive decision support, and team leadership
- FP&A systems architecture, planning tools, reporting frameworks, and data governance
- GAAP principles as applied to management reporting and financial analysis
- Financial statements, general ledger structure, close processes, and forecast-to-actual reconciliation
- Revenue recognition, cost accounting, and project accounting for professional services
- Internal controls, financial governance, audit readiness, and compliance considerations
- Knowledge of people leadership practices and basic employment law involved in day-to-day management of staff.
- W2 project-based consultants will be expected to provide a computing device that adheres to industry standards and security best practices to use in satisfying the Project Services on behalf of Tegria
