Syndax Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Director, Global Supply Chain Network Planning & Risk Management At Syndax, we are determined to realize a future in which people with cancer live longer and better than ever before. Syndax Pharmaceuticals is a commercial stage biopharmaceutical company developing an innovative pipeline of cancer therapies. The Role: Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing, the Senior Director, Global Supply Chain Network Planning & Risk Management will lead integrated supply planning, network strategy, inventory management, and supply risk management across Syndax’s clinical and commercial supply chains. Working across all modalities, this role will align demand forecasts, manufacturing plans, inventory strategies, production activities, and network capabilities with business objectives and patient needs. The role will partner closely with External Manufacturing, Clinical Supply Chain, Logistics, CMC, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, Finance, and Clinical Operations to ensure supply reliability, cross-functional alignment, and execution against the supply plan. Key Responsibilities: Lead integrated Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) aligning demand, manufacturing capacity, inventory, financial plans, and business priorities. Own global supply planning across clinical and commercial programs for drug substance and drug product, translating development, regulatory, launch, and commercial requirements into actionable supply plans. Establish demand-planning processes that integrate clinical enrollment forecasts and finished goods requirements, commercial forecasts, market assumptions, and lifecycle activities. Lead demand and supply balancing across the network, identifying constraints, scenarios, trade-offs, and decisions required to protect patient supply. Develop long-range network and capacity strategies supporting portfolio growth, commercialization, geographic expansion, and supply resilience. Establish inventory and safety-stock strategies that balance service, supply risk, expiry exposure, cost, and working capital. Monitor inventory health, planning accuracy, capacity, and supply performance and drive timely corrective actions. Develop and maintain a robust supply risk management program covering internal and external risk surveillance, risk identification, assessment and scoring, mitigation planning, escalation, action tracking, and periodic review of residual risk. Maintain an integrated supply risk register and provide clear visibility to emerging risks, risk trends, mitigation effectiveness, decisions required, and potential impact to clinical and commercial supply. Lead scenario planning and business-continuity strategies addressing capacity constraints, demand variability, single-source dependencies, supplier performance, material availability, quality events, geopolitical exposure, and other network vulnerabilities. Partner with External Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality, CMC, and other functions to chair a weekly Production Control meeting that confirms alignment and drives execution of production activities, material availability, release priorities, and shipment and material flow against the approved supply plan. Escalate production, release, inventory, or material-flow constraints promptly, establish clear owners and recovery actions, and track commitments through resolution. Lead supply planning for product launches, new markets, major regulatory milestones, and lifecycle changes, including scenario planning and risk mitigation. Lead development and implementation of planning processes, systems, analytics, dashboards, master data, and performance measures that improve visibility and decision making. Communicate supply outlook, production performance, risks, scenarios, mitigation plans, and required decisions clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Build and develop a high-performing global supply chain network planning and risk management team as organizational needs grow. Travel domestically and internationally to company offices, suppliers, and partners as required. Desired Experience/Education and Personal Attributes: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, operations, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, or a related discipline required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 15+ years of progressive pharmaceutical or biotechnology supply-chain experience, including significant leadership of planning, forecasting, inventory, network strategy, production control, and supply risk management. Deep expertise in supply planning, demand planning, S&OP, C&OP, inventory management, network planning, capacity planning, and scenario analysis. Demonstrated experience building and operating structured supply risk management programs, including risk surveillance, scoring, mitigation, escalation, and governance. Experience leading cross-functional production control or supply execution forums and driving accountability for production, release, and material-flow commitments. Experience supporting clinical and commercial products within highly outsourced global supply chains. Experience with small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredient and oral solid dose supply chains is required; biologics experience is strongly preferred. Demonstrated success supporting commercial launches, market expansion, regulatory milestones, and lifecycle management. Experience working with global manufacturing networks and international contract development and manufacturing organizations across multiple regions and time zones. Demonstrated success designing and implementing planning processes, operating models, performance-management systems, and business-review structures. Experience selecting, implementing, or improving enterprise resource planning and supply-chain planning systems, analytics, and data governance. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred. Strong analytical, financial, strategic-planning, facilitation, and structured problem-solving capabilities. Excellent leadership, communication, executive presence, and cross-functional influence in a fast-paced, matrixed, and geographically dispersed organization. Strategic and pragmatic leader who drives execution, makes timely decisions, and builds sustainable planning and risk-management capabilities. Location : Syndax’s corporate office is in New York, NY.
