Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Level 3 ASP

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with Level 3 ASP experience to join our growing team.

Preferred Energy is a Level 3 ASP electrical design business based in beautiful Yamba on the NSW North Coast, ideally positioned between Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay.

We work across a diverse range of electrical design projects, including renewable energy, industrial, commercial and residential developments.

About the Role

This is a senior position for someone who can step straight into project work and take ownership of technical design requirements with confidence.

You’ll be involved in delivering electrical design projects from initial concept through to certification, working with clients, contractors, DNSPs and other project stakeholders along the way.

We value learning and professional development, but for this role we’re specifically looking for someone who already has the technical experience to hit the ground running and contribute to our growing workload.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

· A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

· Minimum 3 years’ Level 3 ASP or DNSP experience, with demonstrated capability in electrical design.

· Thorough knowledge of Essential Energy design standards, procedures and requirements.

· Strong technical knowledge of voltage drop, fault loop impedance, earthing and cable pulling design.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Neara, Neutron Earthing and Cable Pull.

· Ability to independently manage technical design requirements and deliver projects to a high standard.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to resolving design issues.

· High attention to detail across drawings, calculations, schedules and project documentation.

· Full and unrestricted Australian working rights.
