We’re working with an established Building Services consultancy that has been operating in Sydney since 2010.
The business has grown significantly over the last 8 years and now has a team of around 8 full-time engineers, supported by an established offshore drafting team.
They have built the business through long-term relationships and word-of-mouth referrals rather than constantly chasing new work. As a result, they have a strong repeat client base and a substantial pipeline of projects.
They currently have around 1,500 apartment units across live projects, alongside hotels, childcare and commercial developments, with Class 2 projects being a major part of their workload.
About The Role / Duties
They’re looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join the team and take ownership of electrical design across a range of Building Services projects.
The Role Will Include
The business has a relatively small, close-knit team and has deliberately built its culture around trust, accountability and giving engineers ownership of their work.
They have moved to a full-time WFH model and have invested heavily in systems and processes to make sure the team can work effectively while still being properly supported and monitored.
This would suit someone who enjoys having autonomy rather than being in a heavily structured corporate environment.

About The Role / Duties
They’re looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join the team and take ownership of electrical design across a range of Building Services projects.
The Role Will Include
- Electrical design across Class 2 residential, hotel, childcare and commercial projects
- Producing and reviewing electrical design documentation
- Taking projects from design through to documentation and delivery
- Working directly with clients and other project stakeholders
- Coordinating with internal engineers and offshore drafting teams
- Providing technical input and taking ownership of project outcomes
- Supporting the continued growth of the electrical engineering function
- Strong Building Services electrical design experience
- Experience working on Australian projects
- Good knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and NCC requirements
- Experience with Class 2 projects would be highly beneficial
- Comfortable managing your own projects and working independently
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- DPP/Design Practitioner experience is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
