An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join an established Irish electrical engineering business, based in the Midlands, experiencing a period of growth.


The company provides specialist electrical engineering and technical services to major customers across the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, utilities, water/wastewater and critical infrastructure sectors. Their expertise includes LV/MV systems, motor control, Variable Speed Drives, electrical panels, Power Quality and commissioning.


The Role

  • Manage electrical projects from initial enquiry and site survey through to design, build, commissioning and handover.
  • Take ownership of project planning, delivery, technical coordination and customer communication.
  • Provide technical electrical engineering support, including reviewing drawings, specifications and electrical systems.
  • Work closely with internal engineering, workshop and field service teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and provide practical, solutions-focused engineering support.
  • Travel regularly to customer sites, primarily across the Midlands and Leinster, with some nationwide travel.
  • Identify and resolve technical and project issues while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and commercially.


Requirements

  • 3–10 years’ electrical engineering experience, ideally within an industrial, manufacturing or utility environment.
  • Previous Project Engineering / Project Management experience with responsibility for electrical project delivery.
  • Strong LV electrical engineering knowledge; MV experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience working on large or technically demanding industrial sites.
  • Strong customer-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Level 8 Electrical Engineering qualification preferred, although relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
