About the Role
A regional California law firm is seeking a seasoned employment litigator to join its Bay Area employment practice. You will independently manage complex employer-side matters, advise business clients, and help grow the practice while mentoring junior attorneys.
What You'll Do
Defend employers in FEHA, Title VII, wage and hour, class action, and PAGA matters in state and federal courts.
Manage cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, motions, court appearances, arbitration, and administrative proceedings.
Represent clients before agencies including the EEOC, CRD, and DLSE.
Advise employers on workforce management, HR policies, and California employment law compliance.
Handle trade secret and unfair competition litigation and develop case strategy.
Build client relationships, contribute to business development, and bring a partial portable book of business.
Supervise and mentor junior associates.
What We're Looking For
At least 8 years of employment law litigation experience and a proven record handling complex matters.
Active California Bar membership and a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
Substantial employer-side defense experience, including California-specific employment claims such as FEHA and PAGA.
Experience in court, arbitration, and administrative proceedings, as well as trade secret and unfair competition litigation.
Experience advising employers across a range of employment law issues.
Experience at a midsize regional firm or employment law boutique, with strong client development skills and a partial portable book.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: $175,000 to $225,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is not available.
