Senior Employment Litigation Counsel | California | Remote | $235k–$305k

A specialist California employment law firm is hiring an experienced employer-side litigator to join its Los Angeles practice.

The proposition is fairly simple: sophisticated employment litigation, considerable autonomy, strong compensation and an 1,800 billable-hour target.

The work includes complex class actions, PAGA matters and single-plaintiff employment litigation for clients ranging from regional businesses to Fortune 500 companies.

You’ll independently lead significant matters from strategy through resolution, including discovery, depositions, class certification, dispositive motions, expert work, mediation, arbitration and trial preparation.

You’ll need:

• 8+ years of California employment litigation experience
• Strong employer/defence-side experience
• Substantial class action and PAGA experience
• A track record of independently managing complex matters
• Active California Bar membership

The firm was established by former AmLaw 100 lawyers and combines sophisticated employment work with a smaller, specialist platform. The LA team operates largely remotely, so the role can be based anywhere in California.

Compensation: $235k–$305k base + incentives.

This should be particularly interesting to experienced employment litigators who still enjoy the work, but have had enough of 2,000+ billable-hour years.
