Description Senior Energy + Environment Project Manager - Albany, NY Albany, NY is a strong market for energy and environmental professionals who understand New York's complex permitting, regulatory, and public approval processes. The Capital Region's concentration of state agencies, infrastructure programs, utilities, and energy-related activity creates a strong environment for this type of senior project leadership role. You'll provide leadership and technical expertise across Fisher's Energy + Environment practice while managing projects, developing client relationships, supporting business development, and guiding regulatory and environmental requirements. You'll work with multidisciplinary teams, clients, agencies, and subcontractors from project setup through closeout. This role is designed for an experienced professional who wants meaningful ownership and a larger voice in practice growth. You'll have opportunities to develop client relationships, mentor teams, influence project strategy, and help shape Fisher's expanding energy and environmental work. What You'll Do Lead new business development efforts and manage mid- to large-scale energy and environmental projects. Oversee program-wide projects, including project setup, planning, safety analysis, kickoff, scope, schedule, staffing, and budgets. Develop project strategies and design approaches that meet client objectives while maintaining regular communication with clients and managers. Manage project billing, client updates, QA/QC, project closeout, and compliance with project plans. Prepare compliant project proposals and serve as Proposal Manager and primary client contact throughout the proposal process. Navigate complex public processes, municipal approvals, regulatory requirements, and environmental permitting. Represent clients in agency meetings, manage subcontractors, negotiate regulatory conditions, and provide technical guidance to project teams and employees. Requirements What We're Looking For Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Geology, Environmental/Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Remediation and Environmental Engineering, Geology, Planning Environmental Sciences, or another related field. Minimum of 10 years of site investigation, project permitting, environmental compliance, and project management experience. Strong technical and business development background. Complete understanding of MS Office programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to interpret and apply site investigation and remediation practices and environmental regulations. Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work using critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment. Ability to manage projects, time, tasks, changing priorities, deliverables, and deadlines effectively. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in written and verbal formats. Ability to build trusting relationships through collaboration, integrity, respect, and active listening. Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and outcomes with integrity, honesty, and transparency. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in oil and gas, electrical transmission, and renewable energy industries. Multi-media environmental compliance audit experience across various markets and industries. Knowledge of Deltek. Knowledge of MicroStation. Knowledge of AutoCAD.
