We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional in energy modelling to join our Building Physics team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of advanced energy models for a wide range of building types, using industry-leading simulation software to evaluate and optimize building performance.

Key responsibilities include analyzing simulation results, identifying opportunities to improve energy performance, and providing technical recommendations to support design decisions. The role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high-performing, efficient, and resilient buildings.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of building physics principles, and hands-on experience with energy modelling tools. A proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed building energy models using industry-leading simulation tools.
  • Perform energy performance assessments to support design decision-making throughout all project stages.
  • Analyze HVAC systems, renewable energy technologies, building envelope solutions, and operational strategies to identify energy-saving opportunities.
  • Support compliance with local regulations, building codes, and sustainability frameworks such as LEED, BREEAM, WELL, and Net Zero Carbon.
  • Deliver clear technical reports and present findings to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and sustainability consultants to integrate energy performance objectives into project design.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives, digital workflows, and the continuous improvement of modelling methodologies.
  • Experience in advanced Building Performance Analysis, including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations for airflow, thermal, smoke movement, and contaminant dispersion assessments.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Building Performance Analysis, including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations for airflow, thermal, smoke movement, and contaminant dispersion assessments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing detailed building energy models for commercial, industrial, and large-scale developments.
  • Solid understanding of building physics, thermal performance, HVAC systems, and sustainable building design principles.
  • Proven experience conducting energy audits, identifying energy conservation measures, and delivering actionable recommendations for industrial and commercial facilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC design concepts, system operation, and their accurate representation within energy simulation platforms.
  • Strong ability to interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, specifications, and design documentation throughout all project phases.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, including IES VE, Revit, AutoCAD, and other building performance simulation tools.
  • Experience supporting sustainability and decarbonisation strategies, including compliance with energy codes, green building certifications, and Net Zero Carbon objectives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, client-focused recommendations.
  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities, ensuring effective coordination of multiple projects and the delivery of high-quality technical documentation.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with clients, design teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Genuine passion for innovation in the built environment, energy performance optimization, sustainability, and the transition towards low-carbon buildings.
