The Team you will be joining: HQR Our team is charged with maintaining and improving the software at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that supports the Hospital Quality Reporting program. Thousands of hospitals across the country depend on these systems to submit quality measure data that reflects the care beneficiaries receive in their facility. Our teams will continuously strive to modernize these systems, while improving them in ways that reduce provider burden and minimize costs to CMS. We do this through HCD and Service design practices, product thinking, and skilled engineering. As a Senior Engineer: Influence: Makes an impact on the whole team, not just on specific parts of it. Technology: Researches, creates proofs of concept, and introduces new technologies. System: Owns the technical design, development, maintenance, and operational responsibilities for one or more projects or products. These are the types of things you’ll be working on Use GoLang , Python, and Java experience to develop, deploy, and maintain backend applications Version control using Git and GitHub CI/CD processes using Jenkins Frontend development using, Angular, HTML, and TypeScript Database development using SQL (PostgreSQL) Cloud infrastructure with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Required Skills / Qualifications: Experience with GoLang, Python, Angular/TypeScript, and Java (at least 3) Frontend development experience with frameworks like Angular, React, Vue, etc. Cloud Experience (ideally AWS) Experience in Agile development methodology Experience with IaC ideally Terraform Knowledge of end-to-end fully automated CI/CD pipelines, from committing code to deploying to production Relational Database experience Desired Skills / Qualifications: Experience with AWS Lambda and AWS Glue Experience with Jenkins AWS Certifications Security Clearance Requirements US Citizenship or Green Card only - we do not offer Sponsorship US Residency for at least the past 3 years Able to meet the requirements to hold a position of Public Trust, including successful completion of a US Government background investigation Disclaimer: Medical or recreational marijuana use is considered illegal at the federal level, regardless of state laws allowing such, and may affect your ability to obtain Public Trust.
