- Choose your project direction: major infrastructure or investigation & remediation
- Growing seven-person CLM team with new grads taking pressure off senior delivery
- Technical Principal in the team providing genuine reporting and technical mentorship
As a Senior Environmental Consultant in Contaminated Land, you’re probably at the point where another role doing a bit of everything isn’t necessarily progression.
This one gives you a choice.
The Brisbane CLM team has two substantial streams of work. One works with tier 1 developers and major infrastructure clients across airports and roads. The other delivers the broader contaminated land investigation and remediation work across development, civil, energy/fuel and water facilities.
So, what kind of client and project do you want to point yourself at?
The team is growing from seven, with room for another two people. They’ve recently added two graduates to strengthen delivery support and, importantly for a technically minded Senior, brought in a Technical Principal specifically to mentor the team and lift reporting capability.
The Role
You’ll project manage contaminated land work while remaining technically involved, with enough variety in the pipeline to shape your workload around where you want your career to go.
You’ll:
- Manage contaminated land investigations and remediation projects from scoping through delivery and reporting.
- Work across development/redevelopment, civil, energy and fuel, water facilities and major infrastructure.
- Have the opportunity to work with tier 1 developers across airport and linear infrastructure.
- Get exposure to upcoming airport monitoring and PFAS management work currently being tendered.
- Review technical outputs and help develop the two new graduates coming through the team.
- Work alongside the Occupational Hygiene and Hazmat capability when projects cross disciplines.
- Build further technical depth with direct support from an experienced Technical Principal.
If you already hold your LAA, there’s a natural fit here. If you don’t, strong contaminated land consulting and project management experience is still the core requirement.
The Team
This is a growing Brisbane CLM team of seven, with plans to add another two.
There’s been deliberate investment around the Senior level rather than simply expecting you to do more with less: two new graduates provide project support, while the recently appointed Technical Principal gives the team another experienced technical resource for mentoring, reporting and complex project work.
The environment is flexible and family-focused, with hybrid WFH and new offices in North-East CBD.
Experience
- 5+ years' contaminated land consulting experience.
- Demonstrated ability to independently project manage CLM work.
- Strong technical capability across investigation, remediation and reporting.
- LAA qualification is highly regarded but not essential.
$115,000 – $135,000 incl. super, depending on experience.
