At Serco, we’re investing in technology that will transform how we operate and support our continued growth. We’re looking for an experienced Senior ERP Project Manager to take ownership of delivering complex, high-impact ERP and technology projects across the business.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in a diverse and fast-moving technology portfolio, working across Finance, HR, Procurement and other areas of the business. From implementing new ERP capabilities to delivering major technology change and supporting new business opportunities, you’ll turn complex requirements into successful, business-ready solutions and help shape how Serco delivers technology for the future.

As part of this you’ll:

• Take end-to-end responsibility for the successful delivery of complex ERP and ERP related IT projects, from definition and planning through to implementation, testing, service acceptance and handover.
• Lead the implementation of SAP and other ERP products into parts of the business, ensuring solutions are delivered effectively and meet business requirements.
• Manage projects across a varied portfolio, from multiple smaller work packages through to large-scale change programmes.
• Work closely with business stakeholders across Finance, HR, Procurement and other corporate functions to understand requirements, agree priorities and deliver effective technology solutions.
• Manage project scope, plans, milestones, budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies and change throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work with internal technology teams and external suppliers and partners to ensure delivery is on track and meets the required standards.
• Provide clear and regular updates to senior stakeholders, managing expectations and escalating issues where appropriate.
• Support the delivery of major technology initiatives, including the implementation of S/4HANA Public Cloud across parts of the business.
• Lead technical projects such as the migration of SAP from MS Azure to SAP on Rise, ensuring effective planning, coordination and delivery.
• Support analytics and data transformation initiatives, including projects involving platforms such as Databricks.
• Work on technology requirements associated with new business and bids.
• Ensure projects have appropriate testing, governance, documentation and service transition arrangements in place.
• Drive continuous improvement across project delivery, looking for opportunities to use repeatable, standardised solutions wherever possible.

What you’ll need to do the role:

• Significant experience managing ERP projects, with hands-on experience delivering ERP implementations or significant ERP change. ERP experience is essential for this role.
• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager or Technical Project Manager, delivering complex technology projects from initiation through to successful implementation.
• Experience working with SAP, ideally including implementation, transformation or migration projects.
• Experience managing projects across multiple business functions, ideally including Finance, HR and/or Procurement.
• Strong project management capability, including scope, budget, resource, milestone, risk, issue and change management.
• Experience managing multiple projects or work packages within a complex portfolio, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with senior business leaders, technical teams and external suppliers.
• Experience managing third-party technology partners and holding suppliers accountable for delivery.
• A good understanding of systems integration, software development lifecycles, requirements, testing and technical delivery.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate complex technology issues into clear business messages.
• A proactive and structured approach, with the ability to identify potential problems early and develop appropriate contingency plans.
