The opportunity

As a Senior Finance Analyst for BIG WX, you will play a pivotal role in driving eCom growth via new channels. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role will deliver financial governance, performance analytics and strong business partnering to help the business reach its strategic goals. We are looking for someone who is deeply curious, enjoys problem-solving, proficient with complex data sets and has experience developing commercial insights that inform better business decisions. Your work will directly influence customer, trade, and profitability decisions in a fast-paced, innovative retail ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver analytics and strategic recommendations across sales, gross profit, pricing, range, and basket profitability.
  • Manage financial governance, reconciliation processes, month-end closes, and P&L reporting for new sales channels.
  • Partner cross-functionally with eCom, Commercial, Operations, Data, and Technology teams to deliver business and financial goals.
  • Design scorecards / visualizations to provide leadership with real-time, reliable metrics
  • Translate complex, ambiguous business requests into clear problem statements, success criteria, and measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Champion continuous improvement by leveraging new data tools and AI capabilities to streamline financial reporting and insights.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least five years of experience in a Finance, Commercial Analytics, or Operations Finance role, preferably within retail.
  • Advanced competency in SQL, GCP, SAP, and Google Suite, with exposure to platforms like BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, or Connected Sheets.
  • Proven ability to synthesise large volumes of complex data into simple, structured, and accurate business insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, ideally with experience of partnering across data engineering and commercial teams.
  • Strong structured troubleshooting abilities to identify root causes and design effective business solutions

What You’ll Experience

  • We create a thriving team experience through a culture of belonging that champions safety and wellbeing for our people and partners.
  • We’re a team-first organisation. We’ll equip you with the necessary training for success in your role, and provide continuous career development and learning opportunities.
  • We offer competitive remuneration and access to a number of employee benefits.
  • A commitment to flexibility through a hybrid working model which combines time spent at a support office or hub and time working from home, supporting both in-person connection and balancing the flexibility that remote working provides for our teams
  • A range of programs to help you prioritise and manage your wellbeing, including a competitive leave policy and 24/7 access to the Sonder app.
