A Senior Finance Assistant is required to join a leading IT Consulting and Managed Services Provider operating within a fast-paced and growing environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys being close to the detail and wants the autonomy to take genuine ownership of day-to-day financial operations.
Rather than simply supporting individual areas of finance, you will play a key role across the full transactional finance cycle, with responsibility spanning accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, expenses, reconciliations, intercompany accounting and month-end.
This is a hands-on position that will see you take ownership across the day-to-day finance function, included full management of AR, AP, and invoice processing. You will manage key transactional accounting activities, support month-end and help maintain strong financial controls within a growing, international business.
The business operates NetSuite as its finance platform, so previous hands-on NetSuite experience is highly desirable and would be a significant advantage.
You'll join an organisation with international operations and have the opportunity to contribute to improving financial processes and controls as the business continues to develop.
To summarise the Senior Finance Assistant, will have the following skills and responsibilities:
- Managing Account Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Processing supplier invoices and coordinating payment runs
- Reconciling supplier accounts and resolving queries
- Managing purchase and sales ledger activities
- Managing credit control and monitoring outstanding debt
- Completing bank, cash and credit card reconciliations
- Reviewing and processing employee expenses
- Preparing month-end journals, accruals and prepayments
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing intercompany reconciliations across international entities
- Supporting payroll and financial reporting
- Assisting with year-end audit requirements
- Helping improve finance processes, controls and reporting as the business grows
Experience within a multi-entity or multi-currency environment, including intercompany accounting, would be advantageous. Exposure to recurring revenue, revenue recognition or external audit would also be useful.
Benefits include:
- £45,000 - £55,000, depending on experience
- Hybrid and remote-first flexibility
- A high level of ownership and autonomy
- Exposure to an international finance environment
- Opportunity to broaden your month-end and accounting experience
- Excellent scope to develop within a growing IT Services and Managed Services business
- Excellent benefit package and training opportunities
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on with the numbers, but also wants the scope to take greater ownership and make a real contribution to how a finance function operates.
