About the Role: The Senior Financial Analyst is an important individual contributor role within MoneyLion’s Analytics & Decisioning team. This person will own specific reports, analyses, and data pipelines that support financial decision-making across accounting, forecasting, and customer economics. Working with moderate supervision, this role is expected to deliver high-quality, independently produced analytical work and begin to develop direct relationships with key stakeholders. This role sits at the intersection of financial analysis and data engineering, partnering with Finance, Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills and financial acumen, can run analyses end-to-end with limited direction, and is developing the business and product intuition to identify the right questions to ask. Key Responsibilities: Own and maintain specific financial reporting workstreams, including recurring dashboards and analyses that support accounting and FP&A teams Document and communicate the business logic underlying assigned financial models, ensuring accuracy and traceability for downstream stakeholders Support the translation of accounting principles into SQL and dbt models, with guidance from senior team members on more complex business rules Partner with the Accounting and FP&A teams on period-close deliverables and ad hoc data requests Contribute to the CLR/LTV measurement framework by building and maintaining cohort-level analyses across customer segments, products, and acquisition channels Produce regular reporting on customer health metrics with clear interpretation and suggested next steps Build and maintain reports that track MoneyLion Membership program economics, including member engagement, product attach rates, and incremental revenue metrics Support the maintenance and monitoring of forward flow pricing models Write well-structured, documented SQL and dbt models that encode financial business logic Develop Python-based analytical workflows for financial modeling and scenario analysis tasks About you: Education : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field required. Experience : 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or quantitative analytics, ideally within a fintech, consumer lending, or financial services environment. Skills: Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming large financial datasets; experience with dbt is a plus Proficiency or growing proficiency in Python for financial modeling and data manipulation (pandas, numpy) Working knowledge of accounting principles, including revenue recognition, accruals, and period-close processes Experience contributing to LTV, CLR, or cohort-based customer analytics frameworks Data visualization skills – ability to build clear, well-structured dashboards and reports (e.g., Tableau, Looker, or similar BI tools) Strong analytical rigor with the ability to build financial models and communicate key assumptions to both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to manage and deliver on well-scoped workstreams with moderate supervision Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and reliability in financial reporting Ability to work independently while building strong cross-functional partnerships Strong communication skills; able to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights Growth-minded and eager to develop deeper technical and business acumen Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where structure and process are still being built Location: NYC Office (Onsite 3 days per week) The annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $115,000 and $130,000. Base salary is one component of Gen's total compensation package, which includes 401(k) match, health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off.
