Your New Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to join our Business Finance team and play an important role in delivering high quality financial planning, forecasting, performance reporting and commercial insights across Aware Super.

Working closely with our senior finance business partners and senior stakeholders, you’ll provide the analysis and insights that support commercial decision making, strategic initiatives and investment proposals. You’ll be hands on with financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting, working with complex data, and understanding the drivers behind financial performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Support accurate and timely reporting and analysis of project financials.
• Partner closely with the Senior Finance Partners with insights on the current and forecast performance of strategic initiatives.
• Support project funding requests by building cost and benefit models, challenging assumptions, and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Prepare high-quality, monthly management reporting that explains the key financial and non-financial drivers of business performance in an engaging manner.
• Identify opportunities to use AI, automation and analytics to streamline finance activities, improve quality and create greater capacity for value-adding analysis.
• Support the presentation of financial analysis and commercial insights to inform the strategic plan.
• Work with large and complex datasets to identify trends, themes and actionable commercial insights.

How do you exceed our expectations?

• A degree in Accounting or Finance and CA or CPA membership.
• 5+ years’ experience within commercial finance, FP&A or a similar finance environment, with strong capability across management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Demonstrated business partnering experience and confidence working closely with senior stakeholders.
• Advance financial modelling skills in Excel, including analysing large datasets and identifying key themes.
• A curious and forward-thinking approach to emerging technology, AI, automation and process improvement.
• A collaborative, team-first approach and the flexibility to step in and support Finance Business Partners when required.
• Ability to influence, constructively challenge assumptions and communicate complex financial information clearly.
