Overview of the Role The Senior Financial Planning Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting financial planners by managing complex administrative tasks and assisting in the preparation of detailed financial reports and client documentation. This role demands a high level of accuracy, organization, and communication to ensure seamless workflow within the financial planning team. Main duties include: Assist in the preparation and review of detailed financial plans and reports. Manage client files, ensuring data accuracy and completeness within the financial planning software. Prepare product comparisons, quotations, and application forms for clients. Coordinate and schedule client meetings, manage appointments, and handle travel arrangements. Collaborate with advisers and paraplanners to support compliance and quality assurance. Follow up on applications, insurance underwriting, and other client requests to ensure timely processing. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client and internal interactions. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior financial planning assistants. Contribute to process improvements and workflow optimizations within the team. Graduate of any relevant course with a strong background in financial services or administration. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a financial planning assistant or related role. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial planning software (e.g., XPLAN preferred). Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Reliable internet connection with minimum 15 Mbps speed.
