Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer to join a highly innovative deep-tech environment, working on complex engineering challenges at the intersection of software and AI This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you will work across the full stack to understand customer problems, rapidly prototype solutions, and build production-ready applications that deliver real value. The Role You will: Work directly with customers to understand their engineering challenges and shape impactful software solutions. Build rapid prototypes, gather user feedback, and iterate toward production-ready applications. Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices using Python and FastAPI . Work with data scientists and machine learning engineers to bring advanced physics models into customer-facing applications. Deploy and operate applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, AWS Collaborate with frontend engineers, designers, and platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Identify reusable components and contribute improvements to the core platform. What We’re Looking For Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience delivering applications to production. Strong experience with Python , backend development, REST APIs, and microservices. Experience with FastAPI or similar Python frameworks. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform . Experience working with AWS Ability to take ownership of complex problems and drive solutions end-to-end. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments. Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with customers. Nice to Have Background in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, or another engineering discipline. Experience with scientific computing, machine learning, simulation, or physics-based applications. Experience in a customer-facing, solutions engineering, consulting, or forward-deployed role.
