Senior Frontend Engineer — AI-Native Development (V/IS / Virtuozzo Platform)
Location: Remote from Europe

Virtuozzo builds the infrastructure behind the alternative cloud. Virtuozzo Infrastructure System (V/IS) runs compute, storage and networking on commodity hardware. Virtuozzo Platform is the multi-tenant control plane service providers use to sell cloud to their own customers. Our frontend team owns the admin and self-service portals for both. These are dense, data-heavy UIs on top of storage clusters, VMs, networks, S3, tenants and pricing.
We’re also changing how frontend software gets built. Specs come before code. Agents write a growing share of the first drafts. More and more, our engineering job is building the harness that makes that output trustworthy: agent instructions, hooks, automated review, e2e tests that run from the PR, and a product knowledge base agents query before they touch code. We want engineers who are excited to get good at this, not people who put up with it.

What you’ll work on

  • Ship features end to end, from spec to production, in two codebases:
    • Virtuozzo Platform: React + TypeScript, an Nx monorepo, Vite, and Module Federation micro-frontends for tenant management, pricing, monitoring, S3 and settings.
    • V/IS: a large Vue + TypeScript application.
  • Work spec-first. A PRD becomes user stories, then a feature spec, then code, with traceable IDs linking requirements, design and implementation. You’ll write specs precise enough for an agent to implement, then review what comes back with a critical eye.
  • Build and improve the agent harness: AGENTS.md and rules, skills and subagents, hooks that verify and guard changes, MCP servers, evals for skills, and a loop that turns repeated review comments into lint rules.
  • Work contract-first with backend. Agree OpenAPI/TypeSpec contracts before implementation, generate typed clients and validation, and build permission-aware (RBAC) UI from those contracts.
  • Own quality. That means Vitest, Storybook interaction tests and Playwright e2e running from pull requests. Every bug fix comes with a test, and agents help reproduce and re-verify bugs on real dev stands.
  • Prototype fast. Build clickable prototypes with AI against our real UI kit to validate ideas with PM and UX before anyone commits to building them.
  • Modernize the stack. Move V/IS toward micro-frontends and a shared design system, set per-remote bundle budgets, and track Core Web Vitals from real users.
  • Work closely with the Backend, Storage, QA, Product and Design teams across Europe.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years building production web applications, with strong TypeScript and deep React (rendering, state, routing, performance).
  • Vue experience. It’s a real plus, since V/IS is built on it.
  • You use AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or similar) every day. You can say concretely where they fail and what you did about it: context, rules, tests, hooks.
  • You’re comfortable writing specs and ADRs, and you think in contracts and interfaces rather than screens alone.
  • Testing discipline: component tests and Playwright e2e. You’d rather fix a flaky test than retry it.
  • Experience with complex UIs: large tables, wizards, long-running async tasks, realtime updates over websockets.
  • Modern tooling: Vite, monorepos (Nx, pnpm), CI/CD pipelines, Module Federation.
  • Security, accessibility and performance by default (OWASP, CSP, WCAG, Web Vitals).

Nice to have

  • Infrastructure domain knowledge: virtualization, storage, networking, OpenStack, Kubernetes, S3.
  • Multi-tenant SaaS, RBAC, billing or pricing systems.
  • You’ve built MCP servers, agent skills or eval suites, or contributed to open source.
  • Design systems and Storybook.

Why join

  • You’ll find out what agentic development really looks like in a mature product with 1,000+ components, not a greenfield demo.
  • You’ll shape the tools and practices the whole team uses, not just follow them.
  • The products are real infrastructure that service providers run their business on.

What We Offer

  • Remote and flexible working hours for EMEA (Europe locations only)
  • B2B contracting friendly
  • Group private medical insurance or medical allowance
  • Professional growth: training budget, certification support, mentorship, and career progression pathways
  • Inclusive, multicultural team: work alongside talented engineers from across the globe on infrastructure-grade cloud products
  • Employee perks: recognition programs, referral bonuses, and learning initiatives such as book clubs or tech talks
  • Share Options – shares in our success with share options
