Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Full Stack Developers who are comfortable working across both front-end and back-end development.

This is a true full stack position. Candidates must have strong React experience along with backend development experience using either:

React.js + Python/FastAPI
React.js + Node.js

The hiring team is not looking for backend engineers with limited front-end exposure. Candidates must be able to contribute across the entire application stack and confidently discuss the technologies they use on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale web applications
Build modern user interfaces using React.js
Develop backend services using Python/FastAPI or Node.js
Design and integrate REST APIs and microservices
Work with SQL databases and optimize application performance
Deploy and support applications in AWS and Azure cloud environments
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across front-end, backend, database, and cloud environments
Participate in architecture and system design discussions
Evaluate technical trade-offs and recommend scalable solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
Participate in Agile development processes and code reviews
Support CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders

The role includes React.js front-end development, Python and Node.js back-end services, AWS and Azure cloud deployment, API integration, SQL database work, CI/CD support, architecture discussions, and work within a security-conscious environment.

Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required
Strong React.js development experience
Strong backend development experience with:
- Python and FastAPI, or
- Node.js
Experience building full-stack web applications
Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
Experience working with SQL databases
Experience with AWS, Azure, or both
Strong understanding of software architecture and system design
Ability to troubleshoot complex application performance issues
Ability to explain technical decisions and engineering trade-offs
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Willingness to participate in a technical coding assessment

Preferred Qualifications

Docker
Kubernetes
GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools
LLM experience
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
AI/ML application development
Experience leading projects or mentoring junior engineers

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $72.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
