Senior Full-Stack Developer with Next, Node.js and React

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join a technology-focused team delivering production-grade web applications. The person in this role will lead design and implementation of modern TypeScript-based solutions, contribute to architecture and infrastructure decisions, and ensure secure, testable, and maintainable delivery for real end users. This opportunity is suitable for an experienced engineer comfortable with the full web stack, AWS hosting patterns, and automated testing and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable web applications using TypeScript, React and Next.js.
• Deliver production-ready features using Next.js App Router and advanced Next.js capabilities such as Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR).
• Develop and maintain backend services with Node.js and implement, document and consume REST APIs.
• Author and maintain infrastructure as code, with an emphasis on Terraform and serverless AWS patterns where applicable.
• Design, build and maintain AWS infrastructure components, including ECS, CloudFront and related services.
• Create and operate containerized workloads using Docker and manage deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end test automation using Playwright and other suitable tools.
• Apply secure development practices and threat modelling (for example STRIDE) to limit vulnerabilities and address OWASP Top 10 risks.
• Collaborate with product, design and operations teams, providing technical guidance and code reviews.
• Contribute to incident response, monitoring, and performance optimisation processes.

Qualifications

• TypeScript: 5+ years using TypeScript as the primary programming language in production.
• React: 5+ years of web frontend development using React.
• Next.js: At least 1 year of commercial full-stack development with Next.js and at least one commercially delivered production project using the Next.js App Router.
• Advanced Next.js: Experience delivering at least one production project that utilised ISR or a comparable advanced Next.js feature.
• Node.js: 3+ years of backend or full-stack development within the JavaScript ecosystem.
• AWS: 2+ years designing, building and maintaining infrastructure using ECS and CloudFront.
• Docker: 2+ years building and running containerised workloads.
• REST APIs: 2+ years designing, implementing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• CI/CD: 2+ years designing, building and maintaining pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
• Web security: Practical experience mitigating web vulnerabilities, including OWASP Top 10.
• English: Professional spoken and written proficiency.
• High-priority skills (strongly preferred): Terraform / Infrastructure as Code; Playwright end-to-end test automation; security threat modelling (e.g. STRIDE); experience with serverless AWS infrastructure using IaC.
