Role Description

The Senior Fullstack Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end features across Zed Systems’ fintech platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing performant back-end services and APIs, building intuitive front-end user interfaces, and integrating secure payment and money movement flows. The role involves collaborating with product, design, and other engineering team members to refine requirements, propose technical solutions, and deliver scalable, maintainable code. The engineer will participate in code reviews, improve system architecture, optimize performance, and ensure reliability and security in a global, high-availability environment. This position also contributes to technical best practices, mentoring other engineers, and driving continuous improvement in the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong back-end web development skills, including experience with server-side frameworks, API design, and database integration.
• Proficiency in front-end development, with solid knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for responsive, accessible interfaces.
• Demonstrated expertise in software development and full-stack development, delivering production-grade applications from concept to deployment.
• Experience designing scalable, secure systems for fintech or other high-availability, transaction-heavy platforms is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring tools.
• Ability to write clean, well-documented code, conduct thorough code reviews, and mentor peers.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and comfort working remotely in a distributed team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
