Key Responsibilities Design scalable service/micro-service patterns, database schemas, caching layers, and authentication flows Ship production-grade code across front-end (React/TypeScript) and back-end (Node, Go, or JVM) with strong test coverage Integrate model endpoints, manage real-time inference, and implement robust error-handling and fallback mechanisms Drive code-review rigor, CI/CD pipeline health, and observability instrumentation Pair-program, lead brown-bag sessions, and advise junior engineers on technical decisions Collaborate with UX/Product, AI/ML Practice, and ML Ops teams to deliver client solutions Contribute to engineering best practices and help raise the team’s technical bar About you 5–8 years of full-stack development experience, with strength in both modern front-end and cloud-native back-end stacks Experience designing and operating systems in AWS, GCP, or Azure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK) Solid understanding of security, performance tuning, and API versioning best practices Comfortable in dynamic, client-facing environments—startup or consulting experience preferred Strong communicator and collaborator with a passion for building high-impact solutions Curious, adaptable, and energized by solving complex problems across industries Why You’ll Love It Here Build AI that ships — every project ends in a live deployment, not a slide deck Craft meets velocity — we obsess over quality while delivering at startup speed Outcome-driven model — our projects align with client success, not billable hours AI-native culture — you’ll work with peers who deeply understand modern AI’s potential and limits Backed to build — supported by $3M in seed funding from Rally Ventures, Traction Capital, and PurePlay Partners Real collaboration — open conversations, shared ownership, and space to bring your voice and creativity Equal Opportunity Blank Metal is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
