What you'll do

Join a newly established engineering team within Snke Mobile and help build digital solutions that support healthcare professionals in their daily work.
This is a hands-on role with broad ownership. You'll work across mobile applications, backend services, integrations, platform engineering, and deployments, helping shape both our products and the way we build them.
Current priorities include expanding our clinical mobile applications, bringing new capabilities to Android, and deepening integrations with hospital systems. As our products evolve, so will the challenges you'll tackle.
We use AI-powered development tools to accelerate delivery, but strong engineering fundamentals, pragmatic decision-making, and a commitment to quality remain essential.

Responsibilities
  • Work across mobile applications, backend services, integrations, platform engineering, and deployments
  • Design and own scalable architectures, APIs, and data models
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity while maintaining high standards of quality, security, and maintainability
  • Write, review, and improve clean, well-structured, and well-tested software
  • Ensure reliability through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability
  • Build and maintain integrations with clinical systems and healthcare interoperability standards
  • Contribute to technical documentation and development processes in a regulated environment
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and clinical stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
  • Help shape technical direction, engineering practices, and the future of the team

What we're looking for

  • Several years of experience building and operating production software across backend, frontend, or mobile environments
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and frameworks
  • Experience designing scalable architectures, APIs, and data models with clear ownership and maintainability in mind
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar solutions
  • A pragmatic approach to software development with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and continuous improvement
  • Experience developing mobile applications, ideally for Android or with Flutter
  • Familiarity with containers, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Confidence working across different parts of the technology stack and adapting as priorities evolve
  • A structured way of working and the ability to thrive in a regulated environment
  • Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus
Nice to have
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR or HL7
  • Knowledge of DICOM and medical imaging workflows
  • Experience developing regulated medical software or other safety-critical systems
  • Experience deploying and supporting software in customer-managed or on-premise environments
  • Experience with AWS

Why Snke

  • A supportive, international team connected by shared values and a culture of trust
  • Meaningful responsibilities with a lasting impact on global healthtech, improving medical decisions and patient outcomes
  • 30 vacation days, plus December 24th and December 31st
  • Flexible working hours and a hybrid work model within Germany
  • Bike leasing via our partner “BikeLeasing”
  • Parking garage and secure underground bike storage
  • Subsidized company restaurant and in-house café
  • Urban Sports Club membership with employer contribution
  • Regular after-work, team, and company events
