Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

About the Role

Join a fast-moving AI engineering design software startup building tools for physical systems, engineering design, and simulation. You will help ship product features from early prototypes to production, starting with frontend work and growing into backend-leaning full stack ownership.

What You'll Do

• Work with a frontend engineer to improve the product interface and accelerate releases to production.

• Take on backend-leaning full stack work over time, including product features, infrastructure, and systems.

• Own features end to end, from architecture and implementation through deployment and reliability.

• Establish and promote effective practices for agent-driven software development across the team.

• Collaborate with forward-deployed engineers, AI researchers, and company leaders to prototype and improve product ideas for industrial customers.

What We're Looking For

• About 3 to 10 years of software engineering experience, with a track record of taking products or significant features from concept to production.

• Strong backend skills and solid frontend ability, including experience with .NET, React, and TypeScript.

• A proactive, opinionated approach to AI-assisted development, with the ability to review and debug code produced by coding agents.

• Comfort taking ownership and delivering in a fast-moving startup environment with limited hand-holding.

• Genuine interest in physical systems, engineering design, and simulation.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: USD $200,000 to $275,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Remote within Canada or the United States, with one week onsite in San Mateo, California, every six weeks. The primary location is Canada.
