About the Role
Join an AI-powered engineering software team building tools for designing physical systems. In this high-ownership role, you will help accelerate frontend delivery and expand into backend-focused product, infrastructure, and systems work.
What You'll Do
Work with a frontend engineer to improve the product interface and get features into production faster.
Build and maintain backend-focused full stack features, infrastructure, and systems.
Own work end to end, from architecture and implementation through deployment and reliability.
Introduce effective practices for using AI coding agents across the team.
Collaborate with customer-facing engineering, AI research, and company leadership to prototype and refine product ideas for industrial users.
What We're Looking For
Three to ten years of experience as a software or full stack engineer, including experience in a startup or early-stage environment.
A track record of taking products or significant features from concept through production, with strong ownership and adaptability.
Backend-focused full stack skills, with working frontend experience using React and TypeScript.
Experience with .NET and confidence using AI coding agents, including reviewing and debugging their output.
Experience owning architecture, deployment, and reliability, plus an interest in physical systems, engineering design, or simulation.
Based in the United States or Canada and able to work without employer visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range is USD $200,000 to $275,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Remote within the United States or Canada, with Canada as the primary location. The role requires one week onsite in San Mateo, California, every six weeks.
