Senior General Accountant and Tax Officer Summary The Senior General Accountant and Tax Officer is responsible for keeping the company’s financial and tax records accurate, compliant and well documented. The role focuses on preparing reliable financial and management reports, supporting cost control and business decisions, handling tax filings and calculations, and ensuring proper documentation for audits and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Journal Entries Preparation: Prepare and record various Journal Entries ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements and German (HGB) GAAP Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Reconciliation of Balance sheet account, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies promptly. Statutory Financial and Tax Reporting: Timely and Accurate preparation of Statutory Financial and Tax reports, comply with Local regulatory requirements and German (HGB) GAAP Audit Support: Collaborate with Auditors, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries to facilitate audit process. Asset Management: Complete monthly depreciation calculations, capitalization of Assets, disposal, fixed asset count and ensure accurate reflection in financial records. Reporting and Analysis: Includes monitoring of selling and administrative cost, CAPEX management and tracking and performance vs budget, preparation of Global Tax Reporting Requirement, DEG/ Training center reporting, month-end reporting. General Accounting Tasks: General Accounting duties as required. Tax Return Preparation: Various tax returns, ensuring accuracy and completeness in documentation, compliance and timely submissions. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight and Process Improvement Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting and related courses.
