We are growing our Governance, Risk & Assurance (GRA) Department in RBK and are looking to recruit ambitious and experienced professionals to join our expanding team.

Our GRA team provides internal audit, risk management, compliance management and wider business advisory services to a diverse range of clients, including Credit Unions, insurance intermediaries, charities, not-for-profit organisations and other sectors.

You will work across a diverse client portfolio, playing a key role in delivering engagements from planning through to fieldwork and reporting. You will work closely with clients and the wider GRA team to assess governance, risk and internal controls, provide practical recommendations and deliver high-quality, value-added advice.

The role will also provide opportunities to lead and develop junior team members, contribute to business development initiatives and support the continued growth of the GRA service offering.

We are proud to be a Great Place to Work and offer a supportive and collaborative environment, alongside hybrid working and strong opportunities for career progression and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver internal audit, risk management, compliance and consultancy services to a diverse client portfolio, particularly Credit Unions.

Manage client engagements from planning and fieldwork through to reporting and presentation of findings.

Assess governance, risk management, internal controls and regulatory compliance, providing practical recommendations for improvement.

Prepare high-quality workpapers and reports, presenting findings to senior management, Audit Committees and Boards.

Support, coach and develop GRA Trainees, contributing to the team's technical development and training.

Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the GRA service offering.

Key Competencies

Relevant experience in governance, risk, compliance, internal audit or a related professional services environment.

A good understanding of Credit Union operations and regulatory requirements is strongly preferred.

A QFA qualification is desirable. Candidates who do not currently hold the qualification must be willing to obtain it, with full support provided by the Firm.

Good knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and governance frameworks, ideally within financial services or another regulated environment.

Strong technical, report-writing and communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Ability to manage client engagements, prioritise deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members.

Strong attention to detail, a practical approach to problem-solving and an interest in contributing to the growth of the GRA team.
