Senior Graphics/Visual Designer
Client: Google

Contract: Immediate start, contract position until the end of 2026

We're currently expanding our team and are looking for an experienced Visual Designer to support a high-profile Google learning programme. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the visual experience of large-scale cloud learning initiatives used by learners around the world.
The Role
As a Visual Designer, you'll work alongside Learning Architects, Instructional Designers, Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts to create visually engaging, user-centred learning experiences for Google Cloud learners worldwide.
You'll be responsible for translating complex technical concepts into clear, compelling visual content while ensuring every learning experience is polished, accessible and aligned with Google's design standards. This role combines creativity with problem-solving and requires someone who can balance strong visual design with an understanding of digital learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design visually engaging digital learning experiences and assets for Google Cloud programmes
- Create custom graphics, illustrations, icons, diagrams and infographics that simplify technical concepts
- Develop layouts and visual templates for eLearning content and learning resources
- Produce high-fidelity designs that align with Google's branding and visual guidelines
- Collaborate closely with Instructional Designers and SMEs to bring learning content to life
- Maintain consistency across multiple learning programmes through reusable design systems and templates
- Ensure all visual content meets accessibility and usability best practices
- Review designs, incorporate stakeholder feedback and manage revisions efficiently
- Contribute creative ideas that improve learner engagement and the overall learning experience
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years' experience as a Visual Designer, Digital Designer or Graphic Designer in a corporate, digital or learning environment
- Strong portfolio demonstrating digital design, visual communication and layout skills
- Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
- Experience creating illustrations, icons, infographics and other digital assets
- Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, composition and visual hierarchy
- Experience working within established brand guidelines and design systems
- Experience supporting eLearning or technical learning projects is highly desirable
- Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital content is an advantage
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with global teams
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality visual experiences
