We’re looking for a Senior Growth Manager to join our growth team on a 12-month contract, with the opportunity to extend or move into a full-time role depending on fit and business need. This role is ideal for a media buyer who has outgrown pure execution and is ready to own client relationships, drive account strategy, and be the person a brand trusts to tell them what to do next.
You’ll lead paid media across a portfolio of DTC ecommerce brands, running the strategy, the testing roadmap, and the client conversation. Working alongside our growth leadership, creative strategists, account managers, and analyst team, you’ll turn performance data into decisions that move the business, not just the metrics.
This is a senior seat. You’ll have real ownership from week one, an analyst bench to delegate execution to, and the space to specialize and go deeper technically every quarter.
The Role
As a Senior Growth Manager, you’ll own client relationships and short-term strategy across a portfolio of 3–5 accounts. You’ll lead biweekly calls, own weekly and monthly planning, and be the strategic point of contact your clients rely on—not just the person reporting the numbers.
You’ll bridge growth and creative, translating performance insights into testing pipelines, and partnering with our creative strategy team to build the feedback loop that makes both sides better. You’ll own forecasting and planning for your accounts, and you’ll be expected to bring recommendations forward rather than wait to be directed.
You’ll also mentor Growth Managers and analysts, delegate execution to our analyst bench so your time goes to strategy, and use AI meaningfully—for forecasting, analysis, competitive research, and workflow automation—as a genuine advantage in how you work and what you deliver for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Own client relationships across a portfolio of 3–5 DTC ecommerce brands, leading biweekly calls and routine reporting independently.
- Own short-term (weekly and monthly) strategy for your accounts, delivering data-backed recommendations without needing direction.
- Lead quarterly planning and forecasting for your accounts, including budget allocation and performance projections.
- Own the testing roadmap: design tests with clear hypotheses, variables, and success metrics, and present results with insight and next steps.
- Manage and optimize paid social and Google Ads campaigns, making strategic decisions on scaling, budget pacing, and efficiency.
- Bridge creative and growth—translate performance insight into actionable creative briefs and partner with creative strategy on testing pipelines.
- Troubleshoot tracking, attribution, and performance issues independently, and maintain account hygiene across UTMs, naming, audiences, and exclusions.
- Deliver polished, insight-led client reporting with clear next steps, on time and to a high standard.
- Delegate execution—builds, QA, and repetitive work—to our analyst and VA bench, and QA their output.
- Mentor Growth Managers and analysts, and contribute actively to internal strategy discussions.
- Use AI tools to produce strategic insight beyond standard reporting, and build reusable workflows the wider team can adopt.
- Maintain proactive, clear communication across Slack and ClickUp: live task status, early flags on blockers, and written updates the team can act on.
- Stay current on platform changes, measurement developments, and emerging channels, and bring what matters back to the team.
What We’re Looking For
- 4–6 years of media buying experience across Meta and Google Ads, preferably in the DTC ecommerce space.
- Demonstrated experience owning client relationships and leading client calls as the primary strategic contact.
- Strong track record of building and executing account strategy—not just managing campaigns to a target.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions using in-platform metrics, GA4, and third-party attribution tools such as Triple Whale or Northbeam.
- Experience owning forecasting, budget planning, and performance projections for client accounts.
- Comfort designing and running structured tests with clear hypotheses and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication—you can explain a complex performance story simply, and clients leave your calls clear on what happens next.
- Strong prioritization and time management. You know what matters most this week and you protect the time to do it well.
- A collaborative, low-ego approach. You give and receive feedback directly and act on it.
- Proactive by default—you flag risks early, close the loop on what you start, and don’t need chasing.
- Genuine interest in ecommerce and DTC brands, and in the craft of performance marketing.
Additional Bonus Qualifications
The core of this role is paid media ownership and client strategy. Candidates who bring depth in any of the following are strongly encouraged to apply:
- Deep specialization in a channel or discipline—TikTok, YouTube, Google Shopping/PMax, tracking and measurement, or analytics.
- Experience with advanced measurement approaches: incrementality testing, MMM, MTA, or geo lift studies.
- Hands-on experience building AI-assisted workflows for forecasting, reporting, analysis, or competitive research.
- Experience with server-side tracking, conversion API setups, or rebuilding tracking infrastructure.
- Familiarity with creative strategy and the creative testing process for paid social.
- Experience with retention channels (email/SMS) or influencer and UGC programs, and how they interact with paid.
- Experience mentoring junior team members or leading a small pod.
- Working knowledge of Shopify and common conversion rate optimization levers.
Contract Details
- 12-month contract, with potential to extend or transition into a full-time role depending on fit and business need.
- Remote within Canada, with access to our Toronto office space.
- Portfolio of 3–5 DTC ecommerce brands across a range of verticals.
- Analyst support is available so your time goes to strategy and client leadership.
Benefits
- Remote flexibility or access to our Toronto office space.
- Real ownership from day one—this is not a role where you wait for permission.
- Exposure to a diverse range of clients across skincare, food and beverage, apparel, furniture, health, and lifestyle.
- A team that invests in AI fluency and gives you room to build better ways of working.
- Opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and technical specialization.
- Collaborative and supportive team culture.
