Sentara is hiring a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst!

This position is fully remote.

Overview

The Senior Healthcare Data Analyst provides data analysis support to the customer by is responsible for converting vendor-provided file specifications, layouts, and business requirements into detailed data mapping documentation that aligns source data elements with Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) structures and applicable business rules. Serving as a liaison among business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams, this role helps ensure data is properly integrated, transformed, validated, and delivered within the enterprise analytics ecosystem. This position supports data quality and data stewardship functions to maintain data accuracy. As a subject matter expert, the Senior Healthcare Data Analyst uses analytic skills to offer data-driven conclusions and recommendations to business partners.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in analytics, statistics, informatics, business, public health, or related field (Required)

Certification/Licensure

  • No specific certification or licensure requirements.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, data mapping, ETL, data warehouse, or related data environments.

  • Must have advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, data validation, Databricks.

  • Experience developing source-to-target mapping documentation, business requirements, and technical specifications.

  • Ability to interpret source system documentation, file specifications, data dictionaries and requirements.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and documentation or collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Confluence, or similar tools.

  • Looking for someone with experience solving business problems with data.

  • Experience supporting QA, UAT, production implementation, and post-deployment validation activities.

  • Experience working with healthcare, payer, claims, enrollment, provider, or other regulated data domains.

  • Ability to communicate findings clearly with operational, clinical, finance, or executive stakeholders.


We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $106,516.80 - $157,268.80 annually.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
