As our Senior HR Business Partner for Industrial Relations, you'll be the strategic lead for managing union relationships, collective bargaining and employee relations within your AOC, while actively driving cross-border HR initiatives. ABOUT THE JOB

  • Building effective union and works council relationships, you'll manage day-to-day industrial and employee relations topics within TUI Airways, ensuring legally compliant handling of matters so business operations run smoothly.

  • You'll lead collective bargaining processes under guidance of the Head of HR, preparing negotiations that align with business objectives and implementing outcomes locally.

  • As a trusted partner for local management on strategic IR and HR topics, you'll advise on people matters and organizational implications to support informed decision-making.

  • Leading the negotiation, implementation and monitoring of collective agreements, works council agreements and policies ensures agreed frameworks are effectively applied across the organization.

  • From an employee relations perspective, you'll proactively lead change initiatives including cross-border projects, ensuring proper consultation with employee representative bodies so change is implemented effectively and sustainably.

  • Collaborating with the wider HR and IR community across TUI Airline, you'll share local insights and best practices while supporting initiatives across our global airline.

ABOUT YOU

  • A degree in HR, Law, Business Administration or comparable qualification, or relevant HR qualifications provide your educational foundation.

  • Several years of experience in an Industrial Relations role demonstrates your capability in this specialized field.

  • Your strong experience in industrial relations and close working with employee representative bodies is essential for success.

  • Proven experience in collective bargaining and negotiations shows you can lead complex discussions effectively.

  • Significant experience of operating in unionized environments means you understand the nuances of this landscape.

  • Previous experience in aviation or a comparable industry is essential for this role.

  • Solid knowledge of local labour law, collective bargaining processes and HR best practice underpins your work.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills enable you to navigate complex relationships.

  • The ability to build credibility and trust with unions and management comes naturally to you.

  • Exceptional negotiating and influencing skills allow you to achieve outcomes that work for all parties.

  • Your structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented approach helps you tackle challenges effectively.

  • Strong analytical skills support your decision-making and strategic thinking.

  • Taking initiative and working independently with minimal supervision is something you're comfortable with.

  • Assertiveness and the ability to effectively challenge when needed are part of your skillset.
