Based in Chennai, India , the Senior HR Executive, APAC will provide comprehensive HR support to employees, managers and HR stakeholders across multiple countries in the APAC region . This regional role supports the employee lifecycle and the consistent delivery of core HR services, including payroll coordination, onboarding, offboarding, HRIS administration, compensation, employee relations, benefits, compliance, leave management, performance management, HR reporting and analytics, and general HR administration. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across countries, cultures and time zones to deliver timely, accurate and professional HR support. The role requires sound judgement, strong attention to detail and a practical, service-oriented approach to applying regional processes while recognizing local employment requirements and business needs. Key Responsibilities: Research and respond to employee inquiries relating to regional HR policies, processes and employment matters in a timely and professional manner. Process new hire information, employee status changes and other HR transactions in HRIS and internal systems, ensuring employee data and records are accurate and up to date. Prepare and provide HR reports, analytics and employee data to HR leadership and management as required. Support the end-to-end onboarding process, including preparation of new hire documentation, coordination with relevant stakeholders and updating HR systems. Support the offboarding process, including exit documentation, exit interviews, final payroll inputs and HRIS updates. Support the onboarding and offboarding of Independent Contractors, where applicable. Under the guidance of the HR leader, support managers in handling employee relations matters, including appropriate processes, documentation and resolution of employee issues. Support employee performance management processes, including annual performance reviews, goal setting, salary review processes, market benchmarking and related HR activities. Support managers with performance management documentation and employee-related actions where required. Manage employee leave and absence requests in HR systems and respond to employee queries relating to leave policies and entitlements. Support benefits administration, including employee enrolment, changes, renewals and coordination with regional benefits providers and HR vendors. Support annual compensation and benefits processes, including salary benchmarking, market data and compensation review activities. Assist with payroll-related activities by providing accurate employee information, validating payroll inputs and coordinating with Payroll and Finance teams to resolve payroll-related queries. Support HR compliance activities and ensure HR processes are aligned with applicable local employment laws and regulations across APAC countries. Assist with internal and external HR audits and provide relevant documentation and employee records as required. Support the development, implementation and communication of HR policies, processes and programmes across the APAC region. Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling employee information, compensation data and sensitive employee relations matters. Prepare employment-related documents, including employment letters, confirmation letters, transfer letters, verification letters and other HR documentation. Liaise with external HR vendors, benefits providers and other service providers as required. Support regional HR projects and other HR initiatives as assigned by HR leadership. Education and Professional Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent HR qualifications. Minimum 5 years of HR experience , preferably within a multinational or global organization. Experience supporting HR operations across multiple APAC countries is preferred. Good understanding of HR processes including employee lifecycle management, HRIS, payroll, benefits, leave management, performance management and employee relations. Working knowledge of employment practices and HR compliance requirements across APAC countries. Experience working with HRIS platforms; experience with BambooHR or other global HR systems is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently meet time-sensitive deadlines. Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with a global HR team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and managers across different countries and cultures. High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a practical and solutions-oriented approach. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and multicultural environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
