Senior HSE Specialist

Role Description The Senior HSE Specialist role is a part-time remote position focused on developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards for the platform’s operations and any associated activities or events. This role involves assessing HSE risks, creating and updating safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and best practices. The Senior HSE Specialist will conduct safety training, promote workplace safety awareness among contributors and team members, and support incident reporting and investigation processes. The role also includes collaborating with leadership to integrate HSE considerations into strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Health & Safety and Workplace Safety, with a proven ability to design and implement safety programs.
• Experience in Occupational Health and Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including risk assessment and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver effective Safety Training and develop clear, accessible HSE documentation.
• Relevant professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001) or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with tech or online education environments is an advantage, as is experience supporting distributed or virtual teams.
