Location: Malmö, Sweden

At Verisure, design plays an important role in how millions of customers experience our products every day. We are now looking for a Senior Industrial Designer to join the Verisure Design Group and help shape the next generation of our products and connected security solutions.

Based at our Malmö R&D centre, you will report to the Global Design Director and the Industrial Design Team Lead and work as part of our Global Design Team, collaborating closely with colleagues across design, engineering, product and other functions. The role will also involve collaboration with external agencies, vendors and partners, primarily across Europe, with some European travel required.

The role

As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will play a key role in creating world-class Industrial Design solutions across the Verisure product portfolio.

You will be responsible for the creation, development, refinement and documentation of innovative and compelling design solutions that support a cohesive and consistent experience across our future product offering.

Working closely with the Global Design Director, Industrial Design Team Lead and the wider Verisure Global Design Team, you will contribute throughout the full product development process – from early research and exploration through concept development, refinement, product development and final delivery.

You will work across both tactical product development programmes and more strategic and exploratory workstreams, helping us challenge existing thinking and identify new opportunities for our future products.

What you will do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Play a key role in Industrial Design projects from initial concept through to market delivery, providing creative and technical design expertise to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the technical, operational and commercial requirements of each project and identify innovative solutions within those constraints.
• Translate business requirements and user needs into tangible design concepts, balancing the perspectives of our end users, installers, sales teams and markets.
• Develop and refine concepts through sketching, 3D modelling, visualisation, prototyping and presentation.
• Work closely with engineering teams to translate Industrial Design concepts into tangible, manufacturable and market-ready products.
• Ensure deliverables are completed to a consistently high standard for internal design reviews, stakeholder discussions and leadership presentations.
• Build productive and collaborative relationships with internal functional partners as well as external agencies, suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Proactively raise the quality of both design thinking and execution, continuously exploring new ideas and approaches to solving stakeholder and user needs.
• Contribute to CMF – colour, material and finish – exploration, development and specification.
• Stay up to date with Industrial Design trends, tools, technologies and working practices to ensure we continue to apply industry best practice.

What we are looking for

Required qualifications and experience

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Designer with a strong combination of creativity, technical understanding and experience bringing physical products to market.

You will ideally bring:

• A BA (Hons) degree or equivalent in Industrial Design.
• 8+ years of relevant Industrial Design experience, ideally within consumer electronics, telecommunications, connected products or a similar product-led industry.
• Strong 3D modelling skills, using tools such as Autodesk Alias or Rhino.
• Strong rendering and visualisation skills, using tools such as KeyShot or Cinema 4D.
• Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
• A comprehensive understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and product development.
• A proven track record of contributing to successful products launched across multiple international markets.
• Experience with CMF – colour, material and finish – exploration and specification.
• Strong graphic design and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate concepts clearly and visually.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Be able to clearly articulate the thinking behind your concepts through compelling storytelling, connecting strong design rationale with creative output.
• Bring an inclusive and collaborative approach and a strong understanding of design thinking practices and methodologies.
• Have an interest in current and emerging smart home, connected home and home security technologies, as well as the customer needs and use cases behind them.
