Work Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada Hours: 37.5 Line of Business: Financial Crimes & Fraud Mgmt Pay Details: $81,600 - $115,200 CAD This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance. Job Description: Summary Conduct insider investigations of various complexity and sensitivity through analysis of evidence gathered with a focus on containment, loss recovery through criminal prosecution and civil recovery. CUSTOMER Lead a variety of insider investigations Apply sound methodologies to collect, preserve, and analyze evidence while staying current on global emerging technology threats. Identify reported incidents promptly and take appropriate action to minimize potential losses. Assess and prioritize files and investigate assigned cases ensuring proper protocols are in place and effectively applied. Work effectively with counterparts at other financial institutions, law enforcement and others in the judicial system to maximize opportunities for the recovery of assets and to reduce TD's exposure Conduct investigations in a professional and timely manner Identify and communicate procedural weaknesses Identify industry and criminal risk trends and share knowledge with appropriate parties Maintain good working relationships with internal partners for investigative purposes Applies sound methodologies to collect, preserve, and analyze digital evidence EMPLOYEE / TEAM Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest Provide thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge for own area of expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit Keep current on emerging trends/ developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools and techniques Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team Keep others informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities Contribute to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship of others, by sharing knowledge and experiences and leveraging best practices. Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally BREADTH & DEPTH: Investigates criminal cases ranging from simple to complex in nature Sound knowledge of Bank products, systems, policies and procedures Strong knowledge of criminal investigative techniques, related laws governing collection of evidence, court proceedings and financial/criminal trends Represents the Bank in court proceedings Manages programs/projects/ initiatives of low to moderate scope and complexity Expert level professional role requiring in-depth knowledge/ expertise in own field of specialty and working knowledge of broader related areas Integrates the broader organizational context into advice and solutions within own area Understands the industry, competition and the factors that differentiate the organization Impacts a range of functional programs across own and related teams Interprets guidelines, standards, policies and results of analysis to inform decision making at senior level Effectively work in a fast-paced, high volume environment Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adapt to changing prioritize Builds stakeholder alignment in leading projects and activities Identifies and leads problem resolution for complex issues at all levels Generally, reports to a Manager/Senior Manager EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION 5-7 years of relevant experience, including knowledge of banking systems and practices required Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications designations, or equivalent preferred Excellent written and oral skills Excellent critical thinking skills Sound knowledge of analytical tools and techniques Demonstrated decision making abilities and judgment skills Effectively work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
