Senior SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris Architect

Location: Canada – Remote Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: CAD $140,000–$180,000 + Benefits About the Company Our client is a Montreal-founded enterprise e-commerce consulting firm specializing in complex commerce solutions for enterprise customers. They are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris Architect or Technical Consultant who combines deep SAP Commerce expertise with architecture capabilities, hands-on technical skills, and strong client-facing consulting experience. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to remain technically involved while taking ownership of architecture, solution design, and delivery for enterprise clients. The Role As a Senior SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris Architect, you will work directly with enterprise customers to understand complex business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable commerce solutions. You will contribute across the full project lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through implementation and go-live, while working closely with both business and technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a strong technical architect who is still comfortable being hands-on and can confidently represent a consulting organization in front of enterprise clients. What You'll Do Design and architect enterprise solutions using SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris Lead technical discovery and requirements workshops with enterprise customers Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions Present and communicate technical architecture to business and IT stakeholders Challenge requirements and recommend alternative approaches when appropriate Provide technical leadership throughout design, development, integration, and go-live Remain hands-on and technically involved throughout engagements Design and support integrations with ERP, PIM, OMS, payment, CMS, and other enterprise platforms Work with modern headless and composable commerce architectures Collaborate directly with clients and take ownership of technical delivery What We're Looking For Approximately 10–18+ years of total technology experience Ideally 8–12+ years of SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris experience Strong SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris technical expertise Experience designing and architecting enterprise commerce solutions Strong hands-on development background Experience working directly with enterprise customers Ability to lead discovery and requirements workshops Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture Experience taking solutions from design through delivery and go-live Ability and willingness to remain technically involved rather than operating solely at a managerial level Technical Experience Strong experience with SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris is mandatory . Experience with several of the following is highly relevant: CCv2 Java / Spring / Spring Boot OCC APIs B2B and/or B2C Commerce Headless / composable commerce Spartacus / SAP Composable Storefront React / Angular / modern storefront technologies Microservices REST APIs S/4HANA / ERP integrations PIM / OMS / payment integrations CCv2 migrations / modernization Solr / Elasticsearch / enterprise search Contentful / Contentstack or similar CMS Kafka / event-driven architecture AWS / GCP / Azure Terraform CI/CD / DevOps Nice to Have SAP Emarsys experience is a major plus but is not required. Candidates combining SAP Commerce, Spartacus/headless, and Emarsys experience will be particularly relevant. Consulting & Client-Facing Experience This is a senior consulting role, so technical expertise alone is not enough. You should be comfortable: Working directly with enterprise customers Leading discovery and requirements discussions Presenting technical architecture Challenging requirements when appropriate Communicating with both business and IT stakeholders Taking ownership from design through delivery and go-live Representing a consulting organization confidently with major clients Candidates from consulting and systems integration environments may be particularly relevant, provided they remain hands-on and strongly client-facing. Location This opportunity is open to candidates across Canada . Priority locations include Toronto/GTA, Montreal/Greater Montreal, Vancouver, and Victoria , but candidates in Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton, Quebec City, Winnipeg, Halifax, and other Canadian locations will also be considered.
