The Outsource Studio is a curated creative network built exclusively for the built environment. We bring senior independent Creatives into live projects with architecture and interior design studios around the world.

Role Description

You have done the studio years. The late nights, the commute, the projects you never got to choose. You are good at this, and you know it.

So what if the work stayed at that level and everything around it changed?

This is an open call to senior interior designers in hospitality and high-end residential who want their career on their own terms.

• Design from anywhere. Bali, Lisbon, your kitchen table. If the work is exceptional, the location is yours to choose.
• Choose your projects. Hotels, resorts, branded residences, private homes. Say yes to the briefs that excite you and no to the ones that don't.
• Own your time. Take on a full load or one project a year. Build your work around your life, not the other way round.
• Name your rate. You set it. No bidding, no racing anyone to the bottom.
• Work with studios worth working with. Established international studios and real projects, with your work seen by people who understand it.
• Join your peers. A network of senior designers, architects and visualisers, all vetted and all at your level.

Not everyone gets in. That is the point.

Creatives are engaged by The Outsource Studio on a contract for services and work with Studios directly through us.

Qualifications

• Senior-level studio experience in hospitality or luxury residential interiors
• International experience is essential: large-scale projects, or time at a recognised international studio
• Able to carry a project through from start to finish, or focused on a specific area such as concept, interior design, FF&E or technical development
• Confident in AutoCAD or Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
• Used to working with international studios, consultants and suppliers
• A portfolio that shows real project work and your own role in it
• Self-directed and reliable on deadlines
