About the role

At Catenon, we are looking for a Senior International Recruiter to join our Banking, Finance & Real Estate team, based in Madrid.

Direct search and headhunting are at the heart of this role. We are looking for someone with a strong track record of identifying, approaching and engaging passive candidates for specialised and senior positions, including professionals who are not actively considering a career move.

For this position, sector expertise matters. We are looking for someone who understands the talent landscape within Banking, Private Banking & Wealth Management, Financial Services and/or Real Estate, and who has recruited professionals within these markets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle autonomously, from technical briefings and search strategy to candidate assessment, client presentation, offer management and acceptance.
• Design and execute targeted headhunting strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, market mapping, referrals, industry networks and alternative sourcing channels.
• Identify and approach passive and hard-to-reach talent, building relationships with professionals who may not be actively looking for a new opportunity.
• Develop a strong understanding of each client's business, competitive landscape and talent market to identify relevant target companies and candidate backgrounds.
• Conduct in-depth candidate interviews, assessing technical fit, career motivations, compensation expectations and openness to change.
• Act as the client's main recruitment contact throughout the process, advising hiring managers on talent availability, market dynamics, search challenges and candidate suitability.
• Manage several specialised searches simultaneously while maintaining consistent communication with candidates and clients.

Requirements

• Typically 3–5+ years of recruitment experience, ideally within Executive Search, specialised recruitment or a headhunting environment.
• A proven track record of filling specialised and hard-to-hire positions through direct search and headhunting.
• Demonstrable recruitment experience within at least one of the following markets: Banking, Private Banking / Wealth Management, Financial Services, Investment or Real Estate.
• Experience recruiting profiles such as Private Bankers, Wealth Managers, Investment professionals, Relationship Managers, Asset Management professionals, Real Estate Investment professionals or other specialised roles within these sectors.
• Good understanding of the relevant companies, business models, candidate profiles and terminology within the sectors in which you have recruited.
• Persistence, curiosity and resourcefulness when exploring talent pools and adapting search strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple searches independently and build trusted relationships with candidates and clients.
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a 360º recruitment or Executive Search role, combining recruitment delivery with direct client management or business development.
• An established network within Banking, Private Banking, Wealth Management, Financial Services or Real Estate.
