Senior IT Automation Tester (Python + Robot)
Location: Warsaw / Gdynia / Gdańsk / Łódź (Hybrid - 60% office presence)
Salary: Up to 120 PLN/h
Form of employment: B2B contract (signed directly with Optiveum)
About the project
We are Optiveum – a trusted IT recruitment and outstaffing partner. Currently, we are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer for our client, a renowned organization operating in the financial and banking sector. Please note that you will be signing the cooperation agreement directly with Optiveum as the sole contracting party.
In this role, you will join the Global Payment Capture initiative, which is part of an Embedded Banking service domain. The project focuses on building a robust payment order orchestration platform that abstracts payment complexity, supports multiple channels, and enables exceptional scalability.
Your responsibilities:
Working closely within a Scrum team alongside developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery.
Testing and validating microservices within payment flows, including APIs, Kafka, and databases.
Analyzing requirements strictly from a testing perspective.
Planning, designing, and executing test cases.
Building and maintaining automated test suites using Python and Robot Framework.
Providing detailed test results and actively contributing to quality reporting.
Participating in testing team activities and driving organizational quality initiatives forward.
Our requirements:
Proven experience with RESTful API testing tools and methodologies.
Strong Python programming skills dedicated to test development.
Hands-on expertise with Robot Framework automation.
Solid experience with Database and Kafka testing.
Proven ability to test and validate XML/JSON data formats (and general knowledge of these formats).
Familiarity with modern DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes).
ISTQB Foundation Level knowledge (or equivalent practical experience).
Deep understanding of QA processes (both manual and automated).
Fluent English communication skills (both spoken and written).
