We at WeQuel are currently looking for a Senior IT Buyer / Procurement & Vendor Manager for a consulting assignment with one of our clients in Stockholm. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of strategic sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and procurement transformation within a global organization. As a consultant with us, you will have the opportunity to work with some of our clients who are leading companies within the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and industrial sectors, contributing to process optimization, implementation of new technologies, and the development of sustainable solutions. About the Role: In this role, you will be responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives and managing supplier relationships across a broad portfolio of IT-related categories. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop sourcing strategies, execute procurement activities, and support organizational change initiatives. The position combines strategic procurement, vendor management, category support, supplier performance management, and business development. You will play an important role in driving sourcing excellence while collaborating with stakeholders across multiple functions in an international environment. Your main responsibilities will include: Lead, prepare, and execute sourcing activities including RFx processes, negotiations, escalations, and supplier relationship management Drive business development initiatives related to sourcing and procurement Drive sourcing change management within the organization Develop sourcing strategies, category strategies, and support process changes Participate in internal forums and represent sourcing-related projects, initiatives, and business cases Act as the primary company representative towards suppliers and manage both internal and external supplier interfaces Support category management by executing category plans and collaborating closely with category managers Support the team with procurement data analysis and interpretation Monitor supplier performance and contractual compliance as part of the Supplier Risk Management program Act as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers and internal stakeholders Analyze spend data and identify supplier optimization opportunities Report savings and results from sourcing activities We are looking for someone who: Has a strong background in IT sourcing and/or IT procurement Has at least 5 years of experience within procurement Has a university degree in Engineering or IT combined with a business mindset, or a degree in Economics or Law with a technical background or strong technical interest Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong internal and external networks Has strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset Is proactive, result-oriented, and able to prioritize work effectively Has strong critical thinking skills and is comfortable challenging existing ways of working Has the ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change Has experience working in global matrix organizations Meritorious: Experience leading or participating in change management projects involving multiple stakeholders, preferably in international environments Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience working with Power BI We Offer: At WeQuel, you become part of a consulting team that values people first – we believe that success is built through engagement, collaboration, and development.
