In this role, you will:
- Work actively with team members to analyse and resolve application issues
- Identify defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of code debugging or log analysis
- Manage incidents and effectively communicate with users, application owners and senior stakeholders across all areas
- Improve application stability and performance by observing patterns, recurring failures and/or issues, and advise application owners on permanent fixes accordingly

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in New York, NY Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
What you need to have to be considered:
- 6+ years of experience in application support, with demonstrable experience in ITSM process.
- Proficiency in programming language - Java
- Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems. Should be proficient in unix commands and shell scripting
- Strong Experience in SQL, should be proficient in writing complex queries, PL/SQL.
- Strong ability to understand, debug, and optimize code.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to detect root causes and implement effective solutions.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $46K – 93K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
