🟠 Project Description

We are looking for a senior Java developer to join our client's team and contribute to the development of modern, scalable back-end services. You'll be part of a collaborative team focused on clean code, agile methodologies, and delivering high-quality solutions. The client is from the investment banking industry.

🟠 Responsibilities

-Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring

-Implement data access using Hibernate and SQL, with attention to performance and maintainability

-Containerize and deploy applications on Kubernetes

-Provision and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform

-Define and consume RESTful APIs, clearly communicating requirements and constraints across teams

-Translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutions

-Apply clean code principles and back-end best practices across the codebase

-Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration)

-Participate actively in agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban), including refinement, planning, reviews, -and retrospectives

-Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and tooling

-Work closely with QA, product managers, and architects to ensure high-quality, business-aligned deliveries

-Support and improve existing applications in a fast-paced, enterprise investment-banking environment

🟠 Skills

What is relevant to have

-Minimum 8 years of professional experience as a Java developer, with a proven track record on long-term projects

-Strong hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate

-Working knowledge of SQL

-Hands-on experience with Kubernetes

-Hands-on experience with Terraform

-Experience in automated testing of Java applications

-Clean coding skills

-Excellent problem-solving abilities

-Experience in RESTful API design

-Familiarity with agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

-Good communication skills and the ability to clearly state requirements to other teams

What is nice to have

- agile development methodologies

- investment banking domain knowledge as a big plus
