Senior Java Developer – Remote | EU

ICTWORKS is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a international project for a client based in the EU.

You will work in an international team environment where the working language is English, therefore strong English communication skills are required.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Java development
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and experience with Agile (Scrum / Kanban)
• Experience working within existing frameworks and coding standards

Strong experience with:

• Java EE
• Spring Framework(Boot, Batch, Cloud, Data / JPA / Hibernate)
• JDK 11
• PL/SQL, T-SQL
• DB2, MongoDB
• JavaScript frameworks(React.js or Angular)
• Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
• Liquibase

Nice to have:

• Kafka
• Dynatrace
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

Additional skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Ability to take ownership of tasks
• Team player with mentoring capability
• Ability to work in an international environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based enterprise applications
• Improve and optimize existing systems
• Follow architecture guidelines and coding standards
• Participate actively in Agile development processes
• Collaborate with international project teams
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship when needed
• Analyze and resolve technical issues during development

Language Requirement

• Fluent English and Turkish (spoken and written)
• Comfortable communicating with international teams
