The Project

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer (with Shopify) to work on a Tech project.



You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot;

  • Build, run, and troubleshoot Shopify integrations in a production environment;

  • Design and maintain GraphQL APIs to support complex, production-level systems;

  • Develop and maintain event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies;

  • Leverage AWS services, including DynamoDB and secrets management solutions, to build robust cloud-based solutions;

  • Implement observability practices using OpenTelemetry, including monitoring and distributed tracing.



You need to have the following skills/experience:

  • Strong experience as a Senior Java Developer, with solid knowledge of backend development and production-level systems;

  • Proven hands-on experience running, maintaining, and troubleshooting Shopify integrations in a production environment;

  • Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, including developing and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs;

  • Solid hands-on experience with GraphQL, including designing, developing, and maintaining GraphQL APIs;

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, ideally including DynamoDB and secrets management solutions;

  • Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies, in the context of asynchronous and event-driven architectures;

  • Experience with OpenTelemetry and observability practices, including monitoring and tracing of distributed applications;

  • Fluency in English;

  • Mandatory to be located in Portugal.
