QuickBooks Online & IOLTA Trust Accounting

We are a growing U.S.-based law firm seeking an experienced Senior Law Firm Accountant / Bookkeeper based in the Philippines to join our team full-time.
This is not an entry-level bookkeeping position.
We are specifically looking for an accounting professional who already has substantial experience working with U.S. law firms and understands the unique requirements of attorney trust accounting, IOLTA accounts, client ledgers, and three-way reconciliations.
Required Qualifications
You must have:
* 3+ years of professional accounting/bookkeeping experience
* Prior experience working directly with U.S. law firms
* Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
* Experience with IOLTA / attorney trust accounting
* Ability to independently perform three-way trust reconciliations
* Experience maintaining and reconciling individual client trust ledgers
* Understanding of trust liabilities and trust-to-operating transfers
* Bank and credit-card reconciliation experience
* Accounts payable and expense management experience
* Month-end close experience
* Financial statement preparation and reporting
* Strong Excel skills
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Exceptional attention to detail

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining accurate accounting records in QuickBooks Online
* Reconciling operating bank accounts
* Reconciling credit cards
* Performing monthly IOLTA three-way reconciliations
* Reconciling client trust balances and individual client ledgers
* Monitoring discrepancies involving client trust funds
* Tracking client costs and matter-related expenses
* Recording and reconciling trust-to-operating transfers
* Accounts payable
* Expense categorization
* Month-end closing
* Preparing monthly P&L, balance sheet, and other management reports
* Assisting with cash-flow analysis
* Identifying accounting discrepancies and recommending corrective entries
* Maintaining organized accounting documentation
* Coordinating with attorneys, management, and outside U.S. accounting professionals

Schedule
Full-Time Remote Position
Applicants must be located in the Philippines.
You must be willing to maintain substantial working-hour overlap with our U.S. office in the Eastern Time Zone.
Technology

QuickBooks Online | Clio | Microsoft 365 | Excel | LawPay | DocuSign
Compensation
Competitive compensation based on your experience, U.S. law-firm accounting background, QuickBooks expertise, and IOLTA/trust-accounting experience.
